Nick & Becky SDE - A Love Story

Nick & Becky's wedding yesterday was a great way to end the year! Susy and I got together with both of them at the beginning of the month to film their Love Story. Becky had mentioned that "the pickle" would play a role in the wedding reception so I knew that I wanted to use the footage in their Same Day Edit.

Yesterday was also special because it was Becky's parents' 30th wedding anniversary. At the end of the reception Becky's dad approached me and said, "Thank you.

Friday's Favorites - Thank You Notes

One of our favorite things to receive after delivering a video to a couple is a thank you note. Being a videographer is one of the only professions where you actually want to make people cry, tears of joy of course. Thanks for your support!!

Back in July we posted about our friend Jason who was killed by a drunk driver and encouraged all of our brides to provide alternate transportation to the guests at their wedding who choose to drink too much. The response was overwhelming!! Many of you commented on our blog about your plans and we were excited to see an increasing number of taxi's and limo buses that were parked outside reception venues just for this purpose.

Friday's Favorites #4 - Christmas Treats

It is such a rough life in the Morris household.

Susy loves to cook. She also loves to give out homemade gifts. Now I know what you are thinking. I think a good rule of thumb is that homemade gifts should only be given by children under five. Then at least "it's the thought that counts". But that rule does not apply when it comes to Susy's homemade gifts.

"The Flip" at Glenmoor

Susy and I really enjoy shooting at Glenmoor Country Club. I think we filmed 3 weddings and 5 receptions there this year alone. When the ceremony and reception are being held at Glenmoor, the two events are typically held in the same room, The Chapel. I am always impressed by Meghan, the wedding coordinator at Glenmoor, and her amazing staff when this happens because while the guests are enjoying the cocktail hour in another part of the country club, they "flip the room".

A Funny Toast

We have seen all kinds of toasts. Some funny. Some embarrassing. Some just plain wrong!

Although we have heard probably 300 or more toasts, we have never been used as part of a joke during one, until now.

Free Christmas Music from Ellery

As we get ready for the Christmas season, I have a confession. Susy and I are addicted to Christmas music. We have over 600 Christmas songs on our iPod.

Two of our good friends, Justin & Tasha Golden, are amazing musicians. This year they recorded some Christmas songs and are offering them as free downloads as a thank you to all of their faithful fans. One of the songs is a cover of "Christmas Time Is Here", one of our favorites.

My Fox Cleveland Hot List - Thank You

Thank you to all of you who voted for us in the My Fox Cleveland Hot List contest. We ended up in second place. We are really happy with the results and we have been receiving some inquiries from the publicity.
